Guests are provided with a secluded, pristine 1,000 foot beach that is surrounded by rocky cliffs, palm trees and rolling hills. On the sand, you will see a stretch of hammocks and beach chairs as guests enjoy the sun and ocean. The east end features great snorkeling among colorful coral. The west end features a nice sandy bottom perfect for swimming.
The spacious rooms at the resort are housed within 26 buildings that feature spectacular Caribbean views, all framed by tropical gardens and the beautiful resort. The rooms are all furnished in Classic Caribbean Style and come with 563 square feet of space. These spacious rooms feature many wonderful amenities, including louvered and screened windows, private screened-in porches, direct-dial telephone, ironing board, hair dryer, clock radio, satellite TV, full kitchen or refrigerator, pull out sofa in separate sitting area, safe, walk-in closet large shower, private bath with two vanities, king-sized bed, ceiling fan and air conditioning. Depending on what amenities are selected, the rooms come in Value, Superior and Standard.
The resort offers Internet access. In the Lobby there is a complimentary computer that guests can use. The Restaurant areas and Flamboyant Terrace have access to free wireless Internet. It is also available in the Boardroom at times when there are no meetings booked.
No cell phones. The secluded location of Carambola makes cell phone reception difficult inside the resort. A majority of guests think of this as a benefit. It happens to be one of the few Caribbean locations where you won’t need to listen to one way cell phone conversations or phones ringing off the hook. However, on the other side of the resort’s hill, a majority of cell phones do work fine. That allows you to make any necessary calls or check your messages by driving only a few minutes away from the resort. While sightseeing you will be able to stay in touch.
